Back from Frisco

We went to San Francisco for 10 days-one day in the wine country. We only rented a car for one day when we drove to Napa. We purchased a MUNI pass for 7 days which gave us unlimited transportation ion the cable cars, buses, and underground-a great deal. We used miles to fly to California (although a circuitous route!) and stayed with a friend, so no astronomical hotel prices. Spent a little too much going out for dinner, but that was our only extravagance.

  1. yeah that's actually pretty good for a vacation - "free" airfare, free lodging, cheap and varied modes of transportation, so that you can spend money on the most important part of the trip: food.
